Em seu Twitter pessoal, Katsuhiro Harada, produtor da série Tekken, confirmou que Tekken 8 terá cross-play. Isso significa que o online poderá ser jogado entre jogadores de PS5, Xbox Series e PC, a princípio.
Segundo Harada, ele tentou cross-play com Tekken 7, mas, naquela época, havia problemas entre as empresas e até mesmo questões de segurança envolvidas. Assim, seu pedido era recusado repetidamente.
Tekken 8 está em desenvolvimento para PlayStation 5, Xbox Series e PC (Steam). Uma data de lançamento ainda não foi anunciada.
